Google analysis tools helps in more than one way to know the channel of traffic that reaches your website. It helps you to know the amount of traffic, which page has been visited the most, how long do the visitors stay on the page and many more. What it effectively does is, it allows you to study your website in a better way and let you optimize it accordingly. There are other tools that help you to do the same but they are paid and may not be at times an effective as Google Analytics which is absolutely free (perhaps the most lucrative feature of the tool).

In most of the cases where failures are encountered regarding the amount of traffic the website gets (which eventually affects the success of the website) it is noticed that the owners either over analyze the website or under analyze the website.

You may at times concentrate too much analyzing the statistics of your website planning and strategizing and do not spend enough time to optimize the web content in order to improve their stats.

While in many other cases people are busy posting blogs and articles, doing social bookmarking and other offsite promotion but do not study or analyze their stats which results in failure of conceiving results even after putting in enormous efforts. Channelizing your efforts is very important and needs to be done effectively.

Following are some ways in which you can use the simple but effective features of Google analytics in the best possible manner:

1) Figure out which web pages of your site is having the maximum number of visits and spend more efforts in optimizing them. If you are giving advertisements on your web pages then you should makes sure that they are correctly and visibly placed on the page. In case of giving links to affiliate products make sure that you are providing updated links and are not missing out anything. If new products are updated make sure that you have their links updated too. If you are generating subscription or any other services then assure that the page’s layout is aesthetically proper and professional. This is most helpful when you have a very big task list and many minor or major tweaks are required every now and then. By optimizing the page which has the maximum traffic you will be able to receive better results for your hard-work and also you will be aware of where to start from.

2) Work on referrers that are generating maximum traffic for your web page and if possible put extra efforts towards it. As for an example if you notice that your page visits are enhanced by your postings on reddit then increase your work efficiency quality and quantity vise on the postings you do on reddit and perhaps you’ll notice better results. On the contrary if you notice that you have spent enough money and time to generate traffic by a particular method and it is not producing good results then perhaps it is best to drop it and try out other alternatives (there are many other alternatives) that are available.

3) Find out the keyword for which your website is ranked the best for and also analyze other keywords that you can optimize in order to get search engine friendly results. Bes explained by an example, consider your websites deals with sports related products and it is ranked #50-#60 for keywords like football gears or tennis gears but are ranked #15 for inline hockey equipments then you should concentrate on optimizing your web page for the term ‘inline hockey equipment’ (however there are other factors such as traffic on the keyword etc that you will to take into account). This is simply because getting your web page which is ranked #50 to #20 will not help you get as much traffic as getting your web page that is ranked #15 to #5. So first try to optimize your web page with your most effective keyword which will get you more traffic in the near future and then move on to the next ones.

4) Find out the web page that the visitors stay on for the longest period of time. Say if the football accessories page of your website has an average visiting time (average time that the visitor spends on your web page) 5 seconds but your tennis accessories has an average visiting time of 100 seconds then probably you would like to enhance the latter web page by adding call to actions and other services in order to get higher conversion rates (which does not mean that you can afford not to optimize your football accessories web page).

5) Analyze your bounce rate graph frequently. This apprises you of the fact that how much number of people has left your web page without viewing a second page. Depending upon the nature of the website this might be a good thing or a bad thing. For example if you have a blog that promotes your website and you made some changes to that on a particular day and you notice an increase or decrease in the bounce rate then perhaps you would want to redo or keep that change accordingly. If the bounce rate increases you would want to re-edit the change you made but if it decreases you would want to keep it. There are many other things that you can do with this feature but it is dependent on the nature of the blog.

These are just some of the features that can be used to get started with. The more you use it the more you get acquainted to it and eventually will use it more efficiently. If you want your website to come on Google’s first page of the results then you need to have many inbound links from other website. Many are aware of this fact. But what many are unaware of is that a website that has low count of inbound link can still compete and outrank websites with higher number of inbound links.

Even though your website may have many inbound links that does not automatically give your page high page rank for a specific keyword. There are on page and off page factors that decides what rank your pages get.

Some of the on page factors are:

· What is the efficiency of the optimization for the targeted keyword?

· Can Google visit all the pages of your websites through the links that are provided in your website?

· How subtle and efficient is your HTML coding for any page so the search engine spiders can easily crawl your web pages?

· To what extent does the robot.txt file of your website allows search engine spiders to visit your web pages?

· Does your website allow spamming and other unethical SEO techniques like link doping, cloaking, link baiting etc?

Some of the off page factors are:

· How many inbound links from other website do you have?

· Are your inbound links from high ranked related web pages?

· How many inbound links do you have from social networking sites?

· Do these inbound links have keywords that you are optimizing your web page for?

These are some of the important aspects that search engine algorithms look for while ranking a website. As far as Google is concerned, to get high ranking on Google, optimize your page with the keyword you are targeting and Google will return search results for that keyword with your web page on top. But unluckily there are number of other sites that have optimized their web pages with the same keyword as that of yours. For example if you optimized your web page with the keyword ‘SEO experts’, then probably there will be hundred other web pages that have done the same. In this case Google checks other parameters like those mentioned in the in-page and off-page factors. If you’re website passes all the factors then the probability that Google will return your page’s link on the top of its search result increases.

There are many parameters that affect the positioning of your websites in the search result and it keeps changing. If your website does not have consistent SEO work been done on it then within no time the sites ranking decreases and you position dips in the search list. ‘Expertsfromindia’ provide SEO experts that will help you to bring your website to people’s notice buy bringing it up in the search list for your preferred keyword. Change your web page title and get more visitors

High priority is given to the ‘title’ of the web page by Google’s search engine algorithm. So it is very important to title all the web pages of your websites in a precise manner. Think of the keywords that people will use to search for your content. Use those keywords in the title to optimize your web page in a better way.

There are different types of titles that one can use depending upon the content of the page.

New titles: News content usually has titles that are not suitable for search engine optimization. For example, a news title might say something like ‘Fans frenzy at L.A’, but there are not many people who will search for that keyword. Sometimes in case of news titles, you may not be able to make out what the content of the page is just with the title of the web page. Instead of the above title, majority of the people will search for ‘Michael Jackson’s funeral’ which is not mentioned in the title.

Shopping titles: These titles can be used for search engine optimization. Such titles usually contain the products name and a small description about the product. For example ‘Sony Vaio W with 2 GB RAM. The chances are high that people will search for such titles in the search engine box and if your web title is appropriate you can get high number of visitors. Adding a call to action in your title can help you with your conversion rates also. Like ‘Buy Sony Vaio W, shipping free’. Such titles can attract interested visitors and you can get good number of customers out of them. (If you’re not providing free shipping then do not include free shipping in the title).

Informative titles: Such titles will not get you customers rather people who are looking for some kind of information in some topic. For example ‘How to get six pack abs in 2 weeks’ is an informative title. These titles will help you in maintaining the traffic of your page for a long period of time, since people are looking for such contents on the internet daily.

It is very important that the title for your web page is a catchy one, since they directly affect the traffic on your websites. Keep the title descriptive and it should clearly convey what content to be expected on the page. Add call to action in your title if you are commercializing a web page. The most important part of the title should come first, as search engines show just a part of your title and truncate the rest in their results (if the titles are long). Do not use your brand name if it is not a big one. Avoid using same titles for all the web pages of your website.

Optimize the title of your web page with keywords and you will definitely notice the difference. Many people buy books just by being impressed with the cover of the book.
